When a couple set their sights on building a custom home on a pristine plot of land in Port Alberni, they knew they wanted a space that was both sustainable and sophisticated. They envisioned a passive house that honoured the natural beauty of its surroundings while incorporating warm, earthy elements that made the space feel deeply personal and inviting. Blue Water Concepts, a Squamish-based design-build firm celebrated for their commitment to energy-efficient construction, was the perfect partner.

We are so lucky to have worked with Blue Water Concepts on multiple projects over the years, and this shared history has created a design synergy that is evident in every detail. Kim, one of the core members of our team of Millwork Specialists, is always keen to work hand-in-hand with Kayla, Blue Water Concepts’ lead designer, to refine ideas and bring the clients vision to life. This close collaboration allowed for a perfect synthesis of functionality and aesthetics, resulting in a kitchen that is both hardworking and undeniably beautiful.
