The homeowner had lived in this space for years as-is and finally, it was time to give a much needed makeover. What looked like a simple straight run secretly holds MANY irregular and intrusive bulkheads that design partner Hooga Interior Design expertly navigated and strategically hid behind millwork to create an expansive and streamlined space that now allows for a clean line of sight from end to end of this industrial condo in Toronto’s Leslieville neighborhood.
Now the space is open and free-flowing with the grandness of its ceilings being matched only by the homeowner's incredible art collection! The kitchen itself is a testament to the taste of the curator herself, natural veneer in Shinnoki's Milk Oak collides with the rough texture of Caesarstone's Rugged Concrete for both countertop and backsplash to dynamic effect.
“The intention of the space was to update the flow of this kitchen, living and dining area. The natural continuity between spaces allows a calming transition of rooms for the homeowner.
Using natural wood veneer millwork mixed with rugged textures the focus was to create a simple yet timeless design.”
