The Investment

This deposit is a retainer that secures your project with our technical team. It covers dedicated professional services, including comprehensive technical analysis, detailed verification of appliance specifications to ensure proper integration with your custom cabinetry, and the engineering of your cabinet layout drawings. The full deposit amount is applied as a credit toward your final cabinetry contract.

What You'll Receive

You will receive a comprehensive Cabinetry Layout Drawing Set. This technical package serves as the definitive roadmap for fabrication and installation:

• Technical Verification — Includes comprehensive analysis and detailed verification of your chosen appliances to ensure proper integration with your custom cabinetry.

• Engineering-Grade Layout Drawings — A complete set of high-detail elevations and plan views for all custom cabinetry. These drawings include precision measurements and integrated appliance specifications, ensuring all selected appliances fit seamlessly within your custom millwork.

• Final Contract — Once your drawings are finalized, we will issue your cabinetry contract. Upon contract approval and settlement of the remaining cabinetry balance, your project is submitted to our millwork shop for custom fabrication and you gain access to Swede's exclusive trade pricing for finishes and fixtures.

Important Project Parameters

• Collaborative Design Process — We encourage active collaboration during this phase. Timely design feedback and finalized appliance specifications are critical to ensuring technical accuracy. This phase includes up to two revisions to your cabinetry layout drawings (for a total of three drawing iterations). A revision is defined as a request to modify drawings after they have been delivered for your review; minor clarifications or corrections to errors on our part are not counted. Additional revisions can be accommodated at a rate of $120/hour with your prior approval.

• Pricing Adjustments — Swede reserves the right to adjust final cabinetry pricing if onsite conditions differ from initial assumptions, if additional materials are required, or if project scope expands during the drawing phase. Any adjustment exceeding 10% of your original estimate will require your written approval before we proceed.

• Lighting & Electrical — While Swede specifies lighting products from our library, final placement and installation, including under-cabinet lighting, are the responsibility of your onsite electrician.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

We understand plans can change. If you need to cancel here's how refunds work:

Before work begins: Full refund of your deposit.

After work begins, before your cabinetry layout plan is delivered: Refund of your deposit less the value of work completed. We calculate this based on the time our design and technical team has invested in your project at our standard rate of $120/hour. Upon request, we'll provide an itemized summary of work completed.

After delivery of your cabinetry layout plan: No refund, as the service has been fully rendered. Your deposit remains fully credited toward your cabinetry order if you choose to proceed.

Refunds, where applicable, will be processed to the original payment method within 30 days of cancellation.

Ownership of Drawings 

All Cabinetry Layout Drawing Sets remains the intellectual property of Swede Technologies Inc. until your cabinetry contract is paid in full. Drawings may not be shared with third parties or used to obtain competitive quotes without our written consent.

Limitation of Liability

Swede's liability under this agreement is limited to the amount of the deposit paid. Swede is not liable for project delays caused by incomplete or inaccurate client-provided information, third-party trades, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
